I’m Dchenin, a cellist and a mom who loves music and kids. I teach cello to kids and teens in Grants Pass with calm, encouraging instruction. Lessons cover posture, bow control, playing in tune, rhythm and music reading.

One‑on‑one lessons planned around your child’s age, level and goals, with a clear plan each week.

Students learn to play together, listen to one another and follow musical cues.

Live lessons over Zoom or another video call, with weekly goals and practice notes.
Reading & Musicianship
Music reading, rhythm, listening skills and theory built into lessons to help students prepare to play with others.
Instrument Sizing & Care
Help choosing the right cello size, renting or buying an instrument, and caring for it at home.
Lessons for Grants Pass Families
I teach families across North and South Grants Pass (ZIPs 97526 and 97527) and nearby Merlin, Redwood, New Hope, Murphy and Rogue River. In‑person lessons are at my home studio, and online lessons are available across Josephine County and nearby communities.

- Do you accept beginners? Yes. Many of my students start with no experience, and we build good habits from the first lesson.
- What lesson lengths are available? Lessons are one hour.
- Do we need a cello before the trial? No. I’ll check your child’s size and recommend rental options.
- Can online lessons work for younger students? Yes. With a parent nearby to help with setup and a short practice routine, younger students do well.
